Title: Transvestite?

Huck and Jim need to find information out on Jim as a run away and Pap. Jim and Huck think on how they will get in. Huck decides to dress up as a girl and he practices his girl impersonations. Sneaky as Huck is, the other ladies won't recognize him. He is successful in getting in but is looked at suspiciously. Huck introduces "her" as Sarah Williams.

Wow! Just to get information Huck dressed like a girl. Impressive! I don't think I would be able to do that. I would feel embarrassed and I would laugh and get really red. I would keep the first name as Sarah but change my last name to J. I think Sarah Williams fits the names of that time period but I would want to be different. I wouldn't be able to say I'm from Hookervile because it sounds funny. I don't think that I could be in the same room while they were talking about my murder(Huck's).

Do you think you could do that, Dress up as a girl and find out info. I think it would be very hard for you to do this because I think you would crack up laughing if you were to wear a dress. What would you introduce yourself as and why that name? Could you say Hookervile with out laughing? I know I couldn't. If you didn't dress up as a girl, what would you do to retrieve the information? Do you think you have a good girl impersonations? How legitimate can you sound?

Title: "The Cabin" "Being very sneaky"

In Chapter 6 Huck is lectured about going to school by Pap. Pap sues Judge Thatcher so he can get Huck's money. Pap kidnaps Huck and brings him into a secluded cabin in the woods. He finds a saw and and plans to make an escape but Pap shows up. Well first off, I wouldn't have gotten kidnapped and second off I would fight back and get away from him. If I had a saw, I would threaten him to let me go. What would you do? If you were in the cabin, would you try to escape, relax or try to trick Pap for fun. Would you get out of there as fast as you can? If he was drunk, how do you think he would react if you left?

In Chapter 7 Huck planned on tricking Pap by faking his death. I thought that him killing the big and axing the door was a perfect plan. Huck must have been thinking how can I make this seem realistic? The slitting of the pig throat made everything seem realistic. Now I bet if the man wasn't drunk, he would know something was up but since he was out of it he hadn't a clue. What do you think Huck would do if he didn't have the boat? Do you think he would run away? Or possibly stay in the cabin and tell him to bring him home or else he will attack? I would say all these are possible idea if he hadn't found the boat.

Title: "Banned book and the gold"

Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain has been a banned book for a while now. The big reason why the book is banned, is because the use the "N" word. It is used many times without pausing or interrupting the text or book. Another reason why it was banned was because it has slang and hard reading. Many library committees disproved of this book for how vulgar it is. Concord public library committee banished the book on the grounds that it was too trashy and vicious. Gold, Gold, Gold. Find gold would be so sweet. I know Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn where part of the poorer society and their luck changed. It changed when they found 12,000 pieces of gold and split it 50-50. If I were either of them, I would probably take it all for myself. I would put 4,500 pieces in the bank for future access. I would take the rest and buy food for my family and buy a nice house. If you your either Tom or Finn, would you take it for yourself? What would you do if you found that much? Where would you go if you had that money now a days? Would you put it in the bank? If so how much of it?
